Redstone: Part 2

Today I will show some basic uses of Redstone Dust. Let's start with something simple. Place a piston. Put a wood block in front of the piston's face. Place a button beside the piston. Now press the button. The piston is powered and will push the wood block forward. But what if we want a piston 5 blocks away to do the same thing?

The piston is powered when the button is pressed
Place a button 5 blocks away. Place Redstone Dust beside the piston. Now place the redstone dust in a line, towards the button. Now if you press the button, the redstone dust will light up, which means that it is passing the signal to the piston, and piston will push the wood block forward.

The signal is carried through Redstone Dust

You can use Redstone Dust with dispensers, doors, powered rails, droppers, etc.

In the next part, I will show the uses of a button and a lever. Thank you!
