My First Time in a Bastion

I had just made a diamond sword, and a diamond axe. I had made a nether portal and I was ready to go there. I entered. I had spawned in a cave between Nether Wastes and the Warped Forest. First, I was mining Nether Gold Ore and Nether Quartz. Then an Enderman suddenly attacked me(I never knew why), and I, with luck, killed it. Then I went towards the Nether Wastes(the Soul Sand Valley just beside me), and mined more Quartz and Nether Gold Ore. There were no Ghasts! Lucky me! I returned back and kept my Glowstone(I found some in the cave) and quartz at home, and then went back. I moved further and found a Bastion. It was my first time, so I couldn't find an entry(which I tried to find). I traded with some Piglins nearby, and got Obsidian. I climbed a wall, by making a stone tower, and entered the Bastion. There was a chest. I had heard that building around the chest would not make the Piglins attack me. I put stone around the chest and me. Then I opened it. I got good resources, like Quartz and Gilded Blackstone. Then I explored more. I was attacked by a baby hoglin, but I ran away(The baby Hoglin attacked, then ran away, then attacked, then ran away, etc.) I went in a room(or something like a room) and then a Hoglin came from the stairs above and attacked me. I could've killed it, if it hadn't been for a Zombified Piglin. It came in between, and I hit it. Then one Hoglin and three Zombified Piglins together killed me(as there was no way behind, just the lava lake below me). I respawned back at home. I took my backup gold helmet and weapons, and went again. I reached the Bastion. I went to the place where I died. I took my stuff, but I couldn't take some as my inventory was already full. Before I could throw something from my inventory, the dropped items vanished. I lost my diamond sword, iron leggings, bucket, compass, and torches. Next time, I will be careful when going to a Bastion. Thank you!
